3. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided are:

  • Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
  • Subject to site inspection and may be revised if conditions differ from initial assessment
  • Exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated

4. Acceptance and Contract Formation

A contract is formed when:

  • You accept our written quote
  • We receive your deposit payment (if applicable)
  • We confirm acceptance of your project in writing

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • A deposit may be required before work commences
  • Progress payments may be required for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion of work
  • Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, cash, cheque
  • Late payments may incur interest charges

6. Project Timeline

We will provide an estimated timeline for your project. While we strive to meet all deadlines:

  • Timelines are estimates and may be affected by unforeseen circumstances
  • We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control
  • We will communicate any delays promptly

7. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and requirements
  • Ensure access to the work area during agreed hours
  • Remove or protect valuable items from the work area
  • Inform us of any hazardous materials or conditions
  • Obtain necessary permissions (planning, building regulations, etc.)
  • Make timely payments as agreed

8. Our Responsibilities

We will:

  • Carry out work in a professional and workmanlike manner
  • Use appropriate materials and techniques
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • Comply with relevant health and safety regulations
  • Clean up the work area upon completion
  • Provide a guarantee on our workmanship (terms to be specified in quote)

9. Changes to Work

Any changes to the agreed scope of work:

  • Must be agreed in writing
  • May result in additional charges
  • May affect the project timeline

10. Cancellation

You may cancel the contract by providing written notice. Cancellation terms:

  • Before work commences: Deposit may be retained to cover administrative costs
  • After work commences: You will be charged for work completed and materials purchased
  • We reserve the right to cancel if payment is not received as agreed

11. Warranty and Guarantees

We provide:

  • A workmanship guarantee (duration specified in quote)
  • Manufacturer warranties on materials and products
  • Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the contract
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We maintain appropriate insurance coverage

13. Intellectual Property

All designs, plans, and specifications remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

14. Photography and Marketing

We may request permission to photograph completed work for marketing purposes. You may decline this request without affecting our services.

15. Complaints and Disputes

If you have a complaint:

  • Contact us immediately to discuss the issue
  • We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe
  • If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
